Interesting modification. Does it seem to have had any benefit?

I am shaving with it tomorrow. I will let you know.

Fuzzy Catcher Razor
GEM stainless steel blade
Klenzo brush with mixed knot
Williams Mug soap
Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave

First use of the Fuzzy Catcher razor and it produced a great shave.  For me it had a lot of blade feel which was just fine.  I did not find the blade stops to be a hinderance but did find that the lather did get stuck on the under side of the blade.  Not sure if that is a design or user issue.  All in all a really nice shave.

I agree that if a revision is made it really needs a T W cutout to aid in rinsing.

So a little update for all the comments about "the stops aren't uncomfortable for me". Perhaps I should have been clearer. I did NO file work when I used mine. After checking it the stops had sharp edges that were causing my discomfort (scratching) and after getting home from work I went over them quickly with some small files and will give it another try tomorrow now that the edges aren't razors themselves   Tongue

twhite...I posted my shave with the Fuzzy Catcher on a couple of Facebook groups and there are some others who are interested in getting contact information for getting the razor and/or the cad files for it. What would be your preference?

Justin

I am still in the testing phase. Once I get your guys input. I may change a few things on it. Once it is finalized I will make the files available and be able to print some for those who are interested. I will keep you posted.

Razor : 3d Printed Lather Catcher by twhite
Blade : Gem (2)
Brush: Trotter Handcrafts/Maggards Synthetic
Soap: Derby Citronella Candle
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Vintage Aqua Velva
Fragrance:

So the Fluffy express (UPS) delivered the soap in record time and it was used with the 3D printed lather catcher on video which is uploading as I write this. The soap was very much like Arko in decent lather but not quite as drying post shave as I remember the Arko being. As far as scent, it's nearly a dead ringer for Arko which I find a synthetic lemon pledge/citronella kind of mix. Not a big deal but certainly not something I'd like to reach for regularly. This will get posted today or tomorrow to Mr Mike HighSpeed for him to use and write a little something about his take on it. And to post in the thread in the Soap section.
Poked a little fun at Fuzzy......Hope he doesn't offend easy  Big Grin
Have a great day everyone !!

That’s what I noticed right away on mine, but must have missed a little bit as the third pass started getting a little noticeable. I’d imagine not getting filed down first would not be pleasant at all!

Had my second Fuzzy Catcher shave today and results were better. Issues that remain are still a matter of finding my grove with the razor and not a reflection of the razor itself. The only other thing I noticed is the width of the blade stop areas make it a touch tricky for areas I like to use the edge of the blade on, directly under the nostrils for example. Not knowing the first thing about the structural needs of this kind of project, I have no clue if that’s something that could safely be slimmed down. I’ll be recording Sunday’s shave for the Tube and unless anyone objects I’d like to link your videos as well. If there are any “testers” in the group that have or will have videos up but didn’t link here please let us know.
