Here is part of a very large acquisition I made recently. It will take a while to go through and photograph.

EBay listing as a SCHLICK razor.  So it wasn't on anyone's radar.

Do you think I should completely remove the patina or just keep it that deep black color?  I usually lean towards no complete restorations.  I like the Patina.
Of course some of it will come off with a Dawn spray down and cleaning.

Thats a tough one. The color on that is terrific. Very black as if it has not been touched for years. You have a decision for sure. I personally wouldn’t rush the decision. Once it is cleaned it is over. They also clean up really well with such dark silver-plate. Some would even shoe polish the case some.

Unless you feel compelled to shave with it you might want to sit on a bit. There are shiny ones available. And, it is a rare variant Schlick after all!

I will probably do just enough to sanitize it.  I like the black patina.  SO what makes tis a rare model?  I assumed it was a B variant of some sorts.

Why it is a Schlick of course!  Big Grin (You’re right - a “B” - not so rare)

That's a B1. It's the B3 that is rare. They shave well.

I would leave the patina as much as possible. I LOVE natural patina and that doesn't happen overnight. A few minutes to remove it. Nearly a lifetime to replace it.
