I've watched Wchnu shave in a couple of his videos using AutoStrops and they are interesting razors. In one of his videos he shows how to modify a modern blade, along with telling us not to cut our fingers about a million times...it's hilarious if you haven't seen it! I'm now aware that there a number of different models. They seem to be everywhere for sale online here in the states for reasonable prices for user grade specimens. Do you know if a modified modern blade works in all models? Maybe down the road when I've gotten better with a "traditional" SE razor with a top cap I might think of getting one. Thanks! So instead of a TTO mechanism, you just twist the bottom to allow the spring to compress/decompress to open/close the top cap? How was the shave and does it compare closely to any other of your razors? BTW...if selecting a blade for use in this set is based on mental acuity...I'd always be pulling from Dull!

It's automatic as when you turn it the spring snaps it into place unlike a bolt action where you control the entire movement. I don't name them just report what they are called by the manufacturer(09-24-2021, 11:08 AM)Dave in KY Wrote: Friday SEptember 24, 2021

It beats the RWNN after using it again to compare. Need to get the Rolls out. No is the quick way to answer about blade fitting, the VC1's do take the modified GEM. I can use a Feather FHS-10 blade in my later VB3. There are others who will know more and can help more. Thank you TobyC! Looks like there is a lot of good information in that post that I need to study up on. Do you have and AutoStrop and if so, do you shave with it often?
