Apparently the train wreck cost $40,000 and about sunk Keeton's reputation. What he did around a moving locomotive should rank as one of the best athletic events of all time. Steamboat Bill Jr. is another excellent Keeton movie. RE: The Seinfeld thread (or the thread about nothing) - GAW9576 - 09-21-2021 @twelvfret I just finished watching City lights. I think I've seen clips from it in the past but never the full movie till now. Yes hard to decide if that was a sad or happy ending. He certainly went through a lot for her. I wasn't sad for me, but happy. She realized who he was. I think they lived happily ever after.... ![]() "Yes, I can see now". These actors had such a wonderful skill of communicating without saying a word. I like Mary Pickford movies and she was a courageous person in her own right. Thak you for bringing up Keeton. I've watched as many as I could find. Like you, I also enjoy watching Haraold Lloyd. RE: The Seinfeld thread (or the thread about nothing) - GAW9576 - 09-21-2021 Twelvefret. I guess I was not sure weather happy or sad because it didn't show weather the lived happily ever after. But he is smiling there and she did seem happy to have found him even though it's obvious he isn't wealthy. So I too will assume they lived happily ever after and let my eyes water up a tiny bit in happiness for them. I will check out Mary Pickford. Buster is definitely my favorite so far. And his story is incredible. There is a documentary with him in it that tells a lot of his story. If you haven't seen it you really should. If you have trouble finding it let me know and I'll find a link. I don't remember the title right now. And if it's been a while you should watch Steamboat Bill Jr. again too. I think it's one of my favorites of his. I plan on watching it again soon.
