Saturday's Shave

Cold Water Rinse
LaToja Shaving Stick
Jayaruh #426
Gillette Twinjector
Personna Injector
CWR
Lucky Tiger AS

The LaToja Shaving Stick lathered well with Jayaruh #426 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Twinjector with a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Soap   -    Vintage GIBBS 1950's
Razor  -    GEM MicroMatic Open Comb
Blade  -    GEM PTFE S/S (8)
Post    -    Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm   -    Barts Balm Lime Balm and Lotion
A/S     -    Vintage Ferd. Mülhens Vintage 4711 EDC

And very nice it was too.

Its always hard to choose one of the special razors i have, i am really glad the MM got an outing today, sublime, close and comfortable.

Finishing off with the Barts Balm Lime lotion and balm then a good splash of Vintage 4711, it seems this 4711 has a bit more Alcohol in it than the present version.

All good.

Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Hi Dave,
It actually works as well as any of the new soaps or creams i have and better than some, i use about a 10 - 12mm "squirt" and it mixes up plenty of slick, sheening lather, the scent is just a simple clean soap scent and i like it.
Its going to be a sad day when this one and the Imperial leather shave cream runs out.
I got them from a seller who had opened up their long closed, Scottish village family chemist for a refurb.
I also got 2 brushes (a Woodbridge Culmak and a Vulfix #3), a couple of 1912's which dated back to the 1951 festival of Gt Britain and a HFT all NOS, when i contacted the shaving cream companies a couple of years back they confirmed the packaging bore this out, they also said i should not use it - no chance, i had done a skin test and they were fine.

Very cool and awesome score. I have that unmentionable and when searching some things it pulled up TONS of ads for their cream and soap so I figured it was good stuff with a lot of supporters back in the day. Enjoy it in good health !

That's the way to look after a vintage chin. Happy Birthday!

I think you mean you have that unmentionable by the company that made that shaving cream. Be careful there's a new moderator in town and he's probably looking for someone to make an example of. Big Grin Big Grin Tongue
