Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Clubman Pinaud After Shave, Nivea Sensitive Skin & Stubble Balm A successful three pass shave. Giving some love to the Fat, as there was some good natured poo-pooing posted earlier! The red handle on the Gem is actually from my Treet razor but I really like the brass and red together. The Novelist by A&E is a fantastic soap. I love the scent and the lather is wonderful especially when whipped up with the 28mm SHD badger. I'm wearing the Casio world time today which is one of my go to watches lately. I can load it then face lather (neck lather actually) and have more than enough for 3 passes. Even when I shaved my head there was more than enough lather for multiple passes. I don't bowl lather much at all anymore. I have a very heavy vintage mug that I pre-soak the brush in in hot water. Then I load the brush empty the mug and put the brush in the mugs between passes. The mug holds heat really well and I use it kind of like a brush scuttle. That looks like a squat head Ever-Ready. Or is it just the angle of the picture? I used 9 razors for one shave before. When I get time I'll dig around and see if I can find a picture. Just the regular sized ER. Not sure what that style handle is called officially, but I really like the Art Deco styling. Really heavy and easy to grip...plus easy on the eyes! They're sure are a number of skilled craftsmen/artists on this forum. You've got quite the talent to support this hobby! Not sure if that is the popular name. Thank you. I hadn't tried a handle like that so I had to give it a try. What a nice, close and drama free shave. I'm told this is the earlier model and I don't know which is more aggressive as one is purported to be, but this was a great shave. I just had to be mindful of pressure compared to a 1912. I can't say anything about this soap that most don't know already. The scent is a great citrus lemon and lime to me with other stuff playing in there for the more in tune schnozzles out there. Most in Europe know of Brians soaps but here in the states you can to get from Pastuer's although Brian ships to the states as well. That's it for now and hope all have a GREAT weekend !! RE: SOTD - October 2021 - Tony'schin - 10-30-2021 30/10/21 Pre - Shower Brush - Alpha Outlaw Titanium G4 Synth Soap - Hampshire Wool Fat #1 Patchouli & Cedarwood Razor - A long awaited New Unmentionable Blade - Unmentionable Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel Balm - TC's Cedarwood and Patchouli Argan Oil Balm A/S - Signature Soaps Danum ![]() A very long time in the pipeline and very much worth the wait. I had a wonderful lather from the HWF #1 and Alpha synth, building the lather on the face dipping the tips of the brush as i went, the consistency was just what i wanted, not too thick with a nice sheen. I really do like the look of this razor, although i do have to say it is a lot lighter than i prefer, saying that it feels great in the hand. The shave angle was found pretty much straight away, probably due to my past use of its Stainless only brother. The notoriously vicious blade was really smooth throughout the shave and i was just about done in 2 passes WTG / ATG. As i need the practice with this razor i completed a full XTG pass for good measure. A face massage with my Patchouli and Cedarwood balm and Argan oil lotion finishing with the Danum splash. BBS and so comfortable. I will be using this razor quite a bit next month just to get the muscle memory going again. I enjoyed that! Its a contender .Stay safe and enjoy your day All RE: SOTD - October 2021 - Twelvefret - 10-30-2021 GEM Jr/PTFE (3-4), Semogue boar, Arko stick, and I am a Aqua Velva man today...
