If you recall, when the like button was first proposed I argued against it. I was wrong. I missed it when we didn't have it. RE: So what's cooking today? I think it's handy when you want to show you read a post but really do not want/need to reply. RE: So what's cooking today? Exactly. RE: So what's cooking today? What did you cook yesterday? - ShadowsDad - 02-14-2024 I think I acknowledged that, but by all means just keep rubbing it in. Anyone else? Now's the time. Or wait a bit and bring it up again. RE: So what's cooking today? The place we shop for groceries has people working in corporate who are mental midgets. Instead of getting the frozen turkeys in far enough ahead so that they can safely thaw in time they get them in so that turkey is NOT on the menu. It will be thawed probably this coming week. So what to do for turkey day? We went to a local butcher who we KNOW has good meats and got a bone-in 2 1/2" thick cut ribeye. I cooked it Sous-Vide and then finished it off in a smoking hot pan to brown it and get the Maillard Reaction. I asked the wife what else we should have and she stated "Cauliflower Potato Salad". That worked for me too, it's easy and tasty even if not traditional. She later made the comment, "I really like that potato salad.". |
