Lathering: the Froth method - ischiapp - 06-27-2020 I saw the video, and tried it. https://youtu.be/VuyBdmNzH4Y This is my journey into the Froth method world. http://ilrasoio.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=16982 The summary of my experience is that this method is inconvenient. It does not bring advantages (initially hoped) on the yield, and is harmful especially for the most precious soaps. On the other hand, since I have had good results in brushless mode, it can be a valid alternative in particular and emergency situations. RE: Lathering: the Froth method - ShadowsDad - 06-27-2020 I'll pass on it too. I read the comments claiming that it looked like great lather (1st video). I went back and looked and I didn't see that. I did see brush mashing though. RE: Lathering: the Froth method - herco - 06-28-2020 Is this "Froth" method something new ? None of these guys had ever rub a soapstick in his face before brushing ? Come on guys
RE: Lathering: the Froth method - ischiapp - 06-28-2020 Knowledge is power. RE: Lathering: the Froth method - mlb 549 - 06-28-2020 I would rate foaming with loading brush for a given time or so many swirls, but if you use a lather bowl, does the color make a difference?? How about ?? Just shave and make a pleasant experience, there is no best way, only your personal way! RE: Lathering: the Froth method - Ordinaryshaver - 06-28-2020 There really isn't much new in the world of shaving. Get soap on the face, shave, repeat, and rinse. Most everything else is in regards to making more user appealing. |
