Boar Brushes - Zykris - 11-26-2020

While I may not be the huge brush collector, the vast majority of my collection are boars. I haven’t bought any new ones in a long time. But I’m thinking I’ll try the Semogue 1250 out. Cheap as chips. Love a good ol’ boar.

Semogue is a good choice. I have a couple that are really nice.

Do you have any horse in the mix? I can not remember.

Boar brushes are great.  You can't go wrong with a Semogue!

Yep. I have two. A brown, small brush. And a white horse hair. Nice brushes.

I don’t have any horse/boar combo brushes. Misunderstood. Lol

RE: Boar Brushes - Dave in KY - 04-02-2021

Had this Klenzo sitting in a drawer for @9 years now with a CHEAP boar knot from China ( about $3) sitting with it the same amount of time. If it stops shedding I'll leave it in as it looks good with the unfinished old handle. If not I'll put something else in it. Had 1 test lather and it shed like a Pig with Alopecia. This morning with first official use (Mitchell's Wool Fat) it gave me 3 nice slick passes of lather and shed only 3 hairs. Hmmmmm, it may stay...
