My thread adapters - GAW9576 - 09-18-2023

These pictures show how the threaded adapters can be switched around for the 2 different size threads most common in SE razors. In the second picture you can see the smaller size thread. It can be screwed into a standard DE handle like this too and the smaller threads simply never engage or interfere with the handle thread. Also I recommend threading the adapter into the head first then attaching the handle to avoid the adapter getting threaded to deep into the handle. And lastly I never do this over the sink. I almost had one go down the drain once and learned my lesson.

Yes I agree. These adapters are terrific. I found out about them from member riverrun while hanging out at his Razors.page site. They work on everything I have tried. Have been having fun with it.

You just haven’t tried the right one yet oh Fuzzy one. Maybe this one here might be more suited to your Aqua Velva Western Rider shaving style days!

Well. (Tough sell).   Maybe you just need some added incentive. Add coffee. Add Aqua Velva. There is Williams in the cup!

OK ok that might be going a bit to far. I love it though.

That is just in fun. (Besides. When else could I squeeze in a photo of my Ponderosa Pogonotomy Pot!??! Great  Cartwright Man! It had to be done!)

I know some folks feel it sacrilege to shake up the bits, and I am pretty much one of them. And there may be a truth that the design differences bw de and single edge are notable and to marry the two leads to the hideous ‘Frankenrazor’. Yup. But I have been finding it helpful to understand my own shaving techniques and approaches by experiencing different weights, textures and lengths of handles and how that impacts the razor performance - positive or negative. And - It has been fun.

But…… this particular combo has been a blast! A sweet, sweet Gbar with a razor sharp (ha!) GEM blade, gently massaging with that unmatched Stahly vibration platform. Weird Nirvana Baby!
