So I just heard they are not using tallow in the Fat anymore. Anyone else heard this?

Hmm. I haven't heard anything but I haven't been paying attention. I haven't had much luck with Mitchell's

Yes I heard it too over at the other popular forum. I wrote to Mitchells and Wingham wool works, Connaught and they confirmed. Kent's brushes which sells the same soap base or the same soap rebranded claim theirs is still tallow. I ordered a few pucks of Kents hoping they are tallow. Another vendor Mens Room Barber Shop
claim to have a large quantity of tallow MWF and so I bought a few pucks from them too. Also ordered the new formula to see how it fares. They are out of Milwaukee. I suspect people have placed orders by the dozens and hope they still have a few left if anyone is interested. Their price is 2x what it used to sell from UK shops, but they are stocked. I guess this leaves DR Harris, Arko and Cella Red as the only commercial non-artisan soaps out there - how long is any one's guess. Cella already has a green. Arko being a Turkish product like Derby is a tallow stick and quite good too. Amazon has good pricing for a pack of 12 (or is it 10).

Yup, the news is all over the forums. Another one bites the dust. I mostly use artisan soaps anyway.

Yup. I had forgotten about the Kent's. I like the fat. Might pick up a few spares.
