I’m a little late getting to using an Empire as I have had this one for 17 years now and have not shaved with it. (I have re-sharpened original blades on another set and used it for some ok shaves. I wasn’t thrilled with the effort needed to come up with a mediocre edge and have not touched it for quite a while.) About time to try a modded GEM I figure. I was inspired by a post by Anchovie666 and it seems to have worked well. 

The spine is slightly off the plane, but the blade edge still seats well in the stop hooks so good to go.  I just need to cut a few more and cut straighter.
