Do you think I should completely remove the patina or just keep it that deep black color?  I usually lean towards no complete restorations.  I like the Patina.
Of course some of it will come off with a Dawn spray down and cleaning.

I would leave the patina as much as possible. I LOVE natural patina and that doesn't happen overnight. A few minutes to remove it. Nearly a lifetime to replace it.

I tend to agree.  And I'm sure it's much brighter in person.  EBay photos never do justice to the real thing.
