I picked up a Schick G5 at my local antique shop a while back .When I got it home cleaned it up and sanitized it I loaded a blade and noticed the head is loose and the spring was jacked up and not fully between the post .I moved it over and gently tried making the top of the spring even, looked ok did a shave it got me good ,the head was still loose on the right side . What's the go to fix for this problem? Thanks .

Not sure of any go to fix for the issue. I've fixed a badly bent type I hydromagic though and I've made several custom handles for Es and Gs. Let me know if you are in need of help further than advise.

I am thinking that if you used some needle nosed pliers and clamped on to the bottom of the spring you could gently nudge the spring up with a twisting motion. It looks like it has been bent down somehow. It probably wouldn't take much.

Glad you were able to save it. Good job seeing the salutation Jayaruh, I probably wouldn't have figured out the salutation without having the razor in hand.
