So Jay.... TELL the folks what kinda knot this is. Inquiring minds want to know. And Sir Jay, could you post a Pic of this Civil War Badger brush. I've just cotton a request to post a Pic, but my new Turkish phone doesn't have a photo resized app yet. I should have those capabilities in the near future, but not this week! Lol.

Yo Fuzzy.. I don't know about the German Old Spice line. Here I've only seen the After Shave and that's not normal either. There's one store I've seen that carries it. I consider myself lucky to find that!  Shavings not real popular around here. Everyone gets a barber shave once a week... Though now with the covid thing, some folks get a barber shave once a month. Beards are becoming the norm, though not at my house, lmao!!
Hey, Bird. Thanks for the compliments. I believe this is your brush. The knot is a two-band badger. It is one of my favorites. It is 24mm at the base and 53mm loft.

Thats it! I've had many brushes in my life that I have loved. I have even had a brush rotation, but this brush you made for me has ended all that and made an honest shaver lathered out of me. I hope this brush last the rest of my life.

It's been a while since I've checked in with my single-edge friends, but I see Jayaruh is still hitting home runs and @birdlives is a recent beneficiary of that work.

Wchnu, people in the corporate world have a habit of taking for granted all the great things a man does for them, then lower the boom for even a perceived mistake.  I hope you find a better position and that your honor and character put them to shame, Fuzzy.

Just checking in.
Things have been "odd" around here. Winter weather and snow, and ice and sleet....
Doing well, all things considered.

Hey OS, really good to here you and the family are surviving this crazy weather -- seems like Texas took it particularly hard, and I've been thinking about you.  We here in Louisiana had some interesting times with it as well, although it hasn't been nearly as bad here as it was there.  My weirdest story was a house fire in our Parish....we had 2 fire trucks (a pumper which holds 1,000 gallons of water and a tanker which holds 1,500 gallons) and Acadian (our ambulance company) on scene and just idling.  The roads are typically a bit bowed to drain the rain off to the ditches on each side.  The road was glare ice, the fire trucks were pumping water (the pumper is used to fight the fire and it nurses off the tanker), and the ambulance is there to support us firefighters.  We were busy fighting the fire when someone noticed that all three vehicles were sliding off the road and into the ditch.  Apparently the vibrations of the vehicles idling were enough to get them moving and ultimately sliding.  We were able to get them out by spraying water to melt the ice on the road so that the tires could get purchase.

The 2 structure fires almost paled in experience to dealing with the motor vehicle accidents and medical calls.  I went on multiple rescue calls where 80+ year olds were without heat -- I could barely tell the temperature difference between the outside and the inside.  It's been a long time since I've worked a 24+ hour shift where you don't have time for a nap.

I've heard quite a few stories and nothing about it sounded good. What to us in the north is just something to deal with, no big deal, is life threatening for you folks.

Are you pulling out of it now? Things coming back to normal?

I can't speak for Texas, but Louisiana is on the mend. Sun was out and temps in the 40's. We're already getting that Northern mindset -- ordinarily 40's are pretty "brisk feeling", but today it felt like swimsuit weather compared to the last few days.

I talked to Ordinaryshaver earlier. He sounded ok. Had gone out to get food. I told him I was going to check on you.

Glad you made it through ok. I never lost power. Life was ok. Other then still not back to work.
Happy shaves to ya!

Things are good here. Nice day outside. I feel bad for those Texas folks. We have extended periods of power out at times with hurricane season. But that is usually not as cold.
Happy shaves to ya!

Going stir crazy hanging at the Hutch. Gotta love Waffle House for a quick get away. This one is across the river from Baton Rouge. It has been a favorite of mine for years.
