SOTD - May 2021
31/05/21
Pre: Pears Transparent Original Cold water Face wash
Brush: DS Cosmetics synth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Razor: Yaqi Katana V1 Space Chrome
Blade: Permasharp SE (3)
Post shave: Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel, Hair cut, Shower
Balm: Barts Balm Amber and Moroccan Jasmine Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: JPG Le Male' EDP (well why not!)
Up today the V1 Katana to finish off this month, I bought it with the V1 unmentionable Adjustable direct from the Australian Yaqi site on a pre-order and there are no quality concerns whatsoever, the V1 Katana is a really good little razor, 3 shaves from a half blade! you cannot complain about that.
A nice slick Lather, 3 easy, very efficient but comfortable passes leaving me BBS and smooth.
I also got the clippers out today to give myself a haircut and i have to say i am getting pretty good at it, the clippers have paid for themselves now, a No8 on the top blended through the guards to a No1 into the neck.
Shower next, balmed up and planning to have a splash of JPG to finish everything off.
So, a wonderful sunny day here, enjoy yours, still no effects at all from my second jab.
Stay safe and enjoy the Bank Holiday All

Razor: Wilkinson Empire Model/Ever Ready 1914
Blade: Wilkinson Wedge (?)/Gem (2)
Brush: Rubberset 400/Oumo Boar
Soap: Baron's Choice 1508.5 Project
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Aqua Velva
Fragrance: n/a
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 936

So I decided to give the Empire recently acquired a shave. The wedge looked/felt shave ready. I disinfected but I didn't strop it and had a decent 2 passes with it. A little tuggy so stropping may help or it may need a refresh on hones and stropping. I decided it wasn't up to the 3rd pass atg so finished with the 1914 which was buttery smooth. Really enjoyed the Wilkinson Empire and looking forward to getting it shave readier for future shaves. Still 1 unopened Wedge Blade in the box too. Have a fun day Everyone !!

Cold Water Rinse
Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap
Jayaruh #222 Synthetic
Custom Wood Handle Enders Speed Razor
Enders Speed Blade
CWR
Osage Rub

The Fine Snake Bite Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #222 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Custom Wood Handle Enders Speed Razor with an Enders Speed Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I remember an Enders razor you made a wooden handle for but this one looks different than I remember. Do you have more than one?

I made a handle for a Speed Shaver (the one with the pointy end). This is my latest, the Speed Razor. I also have another in progress for a Speed Shaver that is coming to me. It will go back to its owner in Louisiana.
You remember this one.

Beautiful work. I like the stripe down the middle on the new ones. And of course the original is still fantastic looking.
