I had an A at one time that I have not been able to find. I guess I either gave it away or sold it and do not remember.

Your wife threw it away right before she kicked you to the curb. Rolleyes
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Well, at least no vintage razors were harmed. Wink

A few weeks ago it suddenly occurred to me that I needed a G1. I put the word out on TOST and thanks to a great deal and fast posting by @Tony'schin (thanks) here it is.
It's a beautifully built razor and unique design.

What's the baseplate story on those? First ones wouldn't shave, then the comb got shorter?

Yeah, I think that is basically the story. The first ones were way too mild and the V2 shortened the plate, still not an aggressive razor but much better. This one , I think, had the original baseplate which was sent to a honing guy who reduced it on the stones to give a much better shave. We shall see

Why don't you post on TSR? I assume that's you.

TSR? I don't think that's me. (edit) Oh, hang on, I may have joined but never posted. I don't really post much except here.

Hi all,
This is the V2 baselpate version with the larger drain holes, the SB was then reduced further to bring the blade forward. This razor is a wonderful shaver and just a touch more efficient than my Sabre L1.
Hope this helps,
