Bottom row #2, is that a clone or the real deal? $63 for the complete lot seemed reasonable to me and will sell some off that are't wanted to recoup some of that back anyway. It's not a clone and a real deal. Gillette stampings but no date code on barrel or baseplate top. Not sure what you are talking about with regard to the "baseplate under the 7 o'clock will fit on that cap that's screwed on a handle." there are no threads with this razor but has a mechanism that flips to separate the top and base apart but stay connected. You may have this confused with the 3 piece 7 O'Clock or I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

Very nice. I have one but found the modified Gem is shorter than the original blade (top left) and therefore mild. The Feather was a little too long and aggressive. It was my intention to try to get a pin behind a modified Gem so it was set forward slightly but I never got round to it. I was also worried the pin would be stuck permanently.
Thanks and yes I noticed it slightly shorter with the Gem but will give it a try until a work around is figured out. I have about 4 original blades of dubious condition to compare and think about a solution.

Razor: Vintage 7 O'Clock Single Edge Razor
Blade: Gem (3)
Brush: Paladin 26mm Vesuvius Chief
Soap: Hub City Morning Hike
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: CFG Ghost Town Barber
Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 964
Drama free shave with the 7 O'Clock Single Edge today. Mild with the Gem blade which is 1mm narrower than the original blade making it mild but still effective and a VERY nice shave, just shy of my normally glass smooth goal. VERY happy with having this piece of history in the den. 1911/12 Patent date thought to be used in 1915 so that's my guess for the razor date as far as I can read. Have a great Monday Folks !!

There is a handle with a three post cap screwed onto it, that three hole baseplate will give you a complete frankenrazor.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

And yet you couldn't figure out what I was saying. Well that was so obvious and something I did immediately when it arrived and so it was not in my thought process. I thought you were thinking this was a three piece razor.

I don't have any feathers. I can get a Gem and Original photo in a day or 2 unless someone gets to it sooner. Tied up with work and such now.
