Williams Wednesday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Soap
Jayaruh #413 Two-band badger
GEM Flying Wing
GEM Stainless
CWR
Granddad's Blend AS
The Williams Mug Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #413 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM Flying Wing with a GEM Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I like the monthly better than the weekly thread. But I am curious why we don't just do a continual thread.

Williams Wednesday
Cold Water Shave
Brush: Simpson Duke 3
Soap: Williams Mug Shaving Soap
Razor: MicroMatic OC
Blade: Unknown Vintage (2)
Post shave: Cold water Rinse, Shower, Witch Hazel
Balm: Bart's Balm Lime Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: Williams Aqua Velva Musk
I had a wonderful lather from the Duke 3 brush and Williams, cold water face lathered, i did load the brush longer than normal, saying that it is a small puck and it gave enough lather for 3 passes.
I decided to try these Vintage blades again i got with the B2 Schick, they do seem a touch wider and most definitely thicker, everything looked OK in the razor head.
So to the shave,
I could feel the blade cutting from the 1st stroke, again not smooth but not uncomfortable, i carried on and completed 3 full passes, that blade feel did not change, they are not a dull blade its just you can sort of feel it cutting if that makes sense.
When i rinsed off the final time and checked i did have a wonderfully smooth chin.
A very nice post shave to finish off. I changed from Tabac last minute.
BBS, feeling and smelling real good.
I have decided these blades are not for me and they will be banked.
Stay Safe and enjoy your day All.

Wednesday 1st July
Alpha Outlaw - Wickham 1912 Apricus - Rocnel SE-P Open Comb - Euromax Platinum #1 - Osmanli Lemon Cologne - Wickham 1912 Apricus ASB
My last 2 shaves with the Rocnel were smooth, close and excellent. Which told me I'd really got a handle on this very unique razor.
I bought some Euromax saloon blades as an experiment, plus they were less than £3 for 100. Yes, I have been known to like a bargain.
What an excellent blade it turns out to be, as the shave was smooth and truly marvelous. In fact as good as the ½ Nacet gave me the last time I shaved with the razor.
If this blade gives me another good shave in 2 days, I'll be delighted.
