I remember noticing the same thing when this issue first started. I could see the post directly after posting, but it disappeared soon thereafter. What is a Star test outfit razor?

It is a prototype of sorts. They would make a small number of razors and have people test them. I've seen pictures with a line of small boths with a guy at each one shaving. This is the box it came in.

Man, that is such a cool little piece of history!  Thanks for sharing, Greg! Now I see what TobyC was talking about, just having a razor without the top cap being similar to that. I think I've seen Jayaruh in one of his videos shaving with a Damaskeene without the tap cap. I guess this is where you test your skills!
