Since I recently got back into the pipe, I bought two of my old favorites, famous blends created by the late Joe Lankford.
Seattle Pipe Club Plum Pudding
(Latakia, Turkish Orientals, Red Virginias, Black Stoved Virginias, Perique, Cavendish)
If you've never had...it doesn't taste like plums, it's an uncased English Balkan tobacco blend. The smoky Latakia is there but it is more subdued, the spicy Perique really comes through!
Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River Special Reserve
(Rare Virginias Pressed and Plug Cut tobaccos with Latakia, Perique, Oriental leaf)
This is the first time smoking the Special Reserve version, which is bolder than the original Mississippi River I remember. The Latakia is even more subdued on this one.
