What I do with a cream, is instead of loading the brush, I'll just get a bit, the size of maybe a pea, and dab it in multiple places on my face.
Cheeks, chin, and a couple of them on my neck.
Then start off with as dry of a brush as possible, adding water as I go. You can add more water, but it's hard to take water away.
