image uploads

I realise that there is  a 500 kb upload limit for images and my phone camera makes a minimum 1.5 mb image size. I signed up to myBB image hosting and after uploading the images there, I tried to add them as link using  the "image" icon on the editor tool bar.

No luck- turns up as image=(some number)
Any idea how to go about doing this. Reducing image size seems a chore. How do you'll manage to upload those fantastic sharp images?

I use the Image Size app to make them below the 500Kb limit.  When I go through adding an image, I use the attachment box at the bottom of the page, choose the file, add attachment...then you can either just post and the image is added or you can insert it into the post.

Which app do you use? I've been using one called photo compress, but it's kind of a pain.

The only problem with sites like post image is most if not all eventually stop hosting ( I believe that's the proper term ) the image and you get a forum full of dead images in the future.
