Razor is a razor. As long as it is not defective and the blade is sharp they all shave a lot alike. The thing about a Micro Matic Is you have to pay attention to technique. If you get sloppy and let your guard down it will bite. Usually pretty hard. That being said they are wonderful razors. As was pointed out they are cheap and easy to come by. I have more then one here. I would be very happy to loan you one to try out.
It is a rabbit hole though. Once to fire up the MM then you must try the Clog Pruf and Flying wing/Guiding eye.
