Actually soapy water cleaned it and tried but can't get it to hold it securely against the stops without falling so I guess it'll get thrown out.........................I just hate to throw it out.....

Is it because of the spring or the stops worn out?  If it is the stops. That is a relatively easy fix. I will try to fix if yoou want.

Stops, That's a nice gesture but I have to question your sanity and mine given it's worth and the cost of shipping. I have the same razor cased and in near mint condition
