It's the stock handle. I have 2 of them. I got lucky, I guess. I don't remember their being very expensive. Of course, the sellers didn't necessarily know what they had. I got at least one of them in a lot from an Etsy seller.
Very nice! I have only seen one on the bay a year or two ago, with a bunch of other stuff that I didn't want, and at a price that I didn't want either. I'm a shaver, not a collector, and I know it's just another '12 with a different name, but I "need" one for some reason.
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Valet VC4, British 99 set
Feather blade
Valet boar brush
Squadron Red Lead
Old Spice
This Valet brush is a pretty harsh old boar.
The soap seems to lack the slickness it used to have. Is that thing? Does soap loose it's slickness over time?
The Feather blade seemed not so sharp and pretty harsh on it's first use.
The razor with the closed comb is pretty mild and I found myself going over areas several times.
That said, I enjoyed the shave, it was a vintage SE shave after all
