It still has that musty smell, antique book shop type and I find it quite acrid, during the smoke every now and again I get a horrible taste like a bile taste.
Cant wait till this is gone, it will not be bought again and I cannot recommend it.
On the other side of the coin the Full Virginia Flake is wonderful, all a nice tobacco should be.

I dont think so Fuzzy, I back tracked and checked out some of the poor reviews on https://www.tobaccoreviews.com/ site and others have had the same experience, some worse. It has to be a taste preference, or sheep saying it's good as they dont want to be the one dishing it.
Serves me right for only reading top reviews.
It burns nicely and evenly to a white ash, there is a perfume hit now and again, the tobacco looks good, maybe too "Arabian nights" for me.

Interesting. I smoked something awhile back that had a perfume taste to it. I thought I had done something when I packed the bowl. Come to find out it was just how it tasted. I threw it out.
Well i managed to use up the Squadron Leader - never again. i air dried it then rehydrated it with a sprinkle of Dark Rum this made it a bit more palatable. I just think i do not like Latakia or Perique tobaccos, its not right to have pepper and spice in there.
To run alongside the neglected Full Virginia flake (which is very nice) is the last of my trial tins.
Samuel Gawith's Grousemoor , sorry for the poor photo, however, the tobacco is quite light in colour and has a nice aroma from the tin, light floral and sweet (not bloody perfumed). its not too wet and has a nice ribbon cut style.
I will try a bowl tonight.

This afternoon I enjoyed Cornell & Diehl's King's Stride, a collaboration with the Warped cigar company. The cavendish made from cigar leaf is a unique addition. Later on, I stoked a bowl of G. L. Pease Westminister.
I recommend both.
Finished off the Grousemoor which was OK, it's gone on the "maybe" list as for me there are better. The Full Virginia Flake was nice also, another maybe.
Decided to go with the last of the Gentlemans choice.
