Hmmm, interesting question.  There are many vintage soap users around here, but the one I'm most familiar with is Fuzzy -- Wchnu

I'm sure he'll weigh in shortly....and not to steal his thunder, but I'm going to predict that he'll say there isn't any real difference between the soaps, but that all 3 are great shaving soaps (but not better than Williams).  Let's see if my "Amazing Carnac" prediction is right  Tongue

I'm new to the vintage world of shaving.  I recently purchased an Ever Ready 1912 & 1914.  Love them.  Williams happens to be my favorite soap.  I just used vintage Williams for the first time earlier this week.  Loved it as well.  I really didn't notice a big difference between them.  I have a hunch you're "Amazing Carnac" skills might be spot on!!   Smile

I have all 3 in rotation. I can not tell any difference. As I understand the Barbershop was first. Then along came Cup soap and last Mug soap. I have never tried to see the difference in ingredients. I would imagine they changed something. As I said though..... I can not tell a difference.
Happy shaves to ya!
