Witch safety razor set

I found a witch razor on eBay like this a while back. I didn't pick it up then because of the price. Can't wait to get this one. It has the case blades and blade banks. I hope I'll be able to modify gem blades to fit.

Interesting. Looks like just removing the spine of a Gem blade may work. Although it's kinda hard to tell from the pictures.

Yeah I'm just concerned about the blade thickness. The way it clamps if a gem is too thick or thin it may also not work.

Makes sense. I would guess if anything the new Gem blades may be a little thinner.

The witch razor has arrived and the gem blades do seem to work great with some slight moding. You despine them and them you have to trim some of the overhang on the back of the blade to make it a bit more narrow. The gem blade is just slightly wider. Then you can slide the gem blade in from the front and clamp it down and it appears to sit at the same part of the guard as the factory blade.

Trying to get some better pics the system is fighting me keeps cutting most of them off. Anyway the gem is a tiny bit wider just remove spine and trim the overhanging pieces on the back and slide it in from the front and clamp it down. Can't wait to try a shave.
