How are these different than other 1912's or are they? I know the loading drill is different but how, or does it, change the way the razor works/shaves?
Inquiring minds want to know
Thanks in advance

The top opens forward with the hinge point very near the front edge for one. Also I believe I saw a picture of an original instruction sheet that recommend a different shaving angel with the top cap off the skin a bit instead of riding the cap. I find them to be a bit more aggressive than most 1912s but really like the ones I have.
There are also several variants.

I don't think the shave is as good as most other ASR razors. YMMV.

To me, it shaves a little different but gets the same results. I would not say it was an improvement though.

I don't even think about it when I shave with a 1924 vs. anything else.
I agree that it is a slightly more aggressive razor, but it's easy to use and gets the job done just as well with no issues. I've always enjoyed using a 1924, I guess that's why I have 5 or 6 examples in my collection.

Love both the 1912 and 1924. They take more strokes to get the job done, but eventually get there.
I love the "scrapping the burnt toast" sound to the shave. Would make excellent ASMR shave videos. I took one GEM PTFE blade to almost 35 shaves in one 1924 shovelhead. I still have the balde loaded in one of my shovelheads. Short deliberate strokes work best at a neutral shave angle.
