Not at all bud, I have seen some that have been "forced" and they look quite black.

I had a great shave today with the Schick type A loaded with a Schick proline B20. The Zenith Boar whipped up a fantastic lather with Mer Shavings Mysore Sandalwood. A little witch hazel balm and some Pinaud Clubman after shave lotion for a final touch.
