My Oumo knots order from AliExpress arrived today. 
I think I did all the possible combinations for these knots and handles without putting the synthetic in the horn handle. Although it actually looks good in the horn I just can't bring myself to put a synthetic knot in the horn. It just seems wrong. The 3 knots are 24mm and are a boar, a horse and a synthetic. 
The last picture is of a 30mm Boar in the other horn and wood handle. None of them are glued in yet. I look forward to getting them glued up and trying them out once I can decide which belongs where. 

So what do you guys think.

So I walk away from my computer but found myself thinking back to the scope brush. What did you put in it to give it weight? That's just the scope lens, a little bit of aluminium. The knot would weigh more than the handle.

Nothing yet. I actually took the lenses out. Those are so. E nice magnifying lenses in there. I will use them for something. I'm planning on making an acrylic piece to fill most of the void. I'll use some silicone to seal it up too and probably build up a shelf with silicone for the knot depth. I did that on a hollow vintage brush handle and it worked very well. 
The credit for the wonderful copper fitting handle goes to Fluffy. I would like to eventually get one more from him as I really like the design of another I've seen him make. A really cool feature is a good strong magnet in the base to ha g it upside down from a bit of metal. I will make a stand for that eventually also.

BTW GarnerPW that is a really good reasoning for your choices of which knot looks best in which handle. That's exactly the type of import I was hoping for.

A side note, the Ruger handle is the end of a scope that my son broke. When life hands you lemons..... Smile

I vote B. I like the horse in the scope.

I set the 24mm Boar hair knot from Oumo in the Fuzzy ind. Rt. 66 by Fluffy. It's a great fit. Today was my first use of it. I just gave it a good rinse, lathered it up on my hand, rinsed again then used it to face lather. After just the initial rinse it had almost no smell. It did shed about 6 to 10 hairs ( I didn't get an actual count) but with no other break in that seems reasonable.

I had been waiting on some woods to arrive so I could make two brushes that were requested. One is patterned after JR #16, an irregular handle. https://jrshaving.blogspot.com/2022/01/jayaruh-430.html
The other was requested to be a 400 type handle. He supplied his 26mm boar.

I am in the process of finishing them. I will post final pictures when complete.
These are dry fitting of knots before I finished the handles with polycrylic.

Both handles look fantastic. And the knots are a great complimentary color for the wood.

I've decided on D. I am setting the knots with silicone so if I decide I don't like any of the knots they can be changed out.

I finally got around to setting the rest of the knots in these brushes. I will let them set till tomorrow then hopefully have time to wash and test them.
