It is May, and I am doing Mitchell's May except for Menthol Mondays, Tabac Tuesdays, and Williams Wednesdays.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #434 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fuzzy Catcher 3D Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Musk AS. A much better shave today than yesterday, no need for the Alum block. I whipped up a basic lather in the pewter soap dish then moved to to a face lather, i do like the simplicity of this soap, a very clean scent, pity it has been discontinued, i do have a few back up puck's, although i do not think i will get through them in my lifetime. The lather was nice enough and easily lasted on the face for each pass with a great post shave feel.
I completed my 2 pass shave routine for a comfortable, DFS+ finish, finishing with the Aqua Velva, very nice bit of sink time for this slightly overcast Sunday morning.

Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements theme

The weather in the mid 90s prompted me to browse my shave drawer for a Bayrum scent shave.

The PAA Clasico Bay Rum soap was right there waiting to be picked. To compliment the soap, the PAA Rocket 26mm and the Atomic Bayrum AS and one of my favorite modern Gem blade razors - The PAA Starling V2.

A nice shave with a Personna PTFE Gem stainless blade, gentle but extremely efficient 10/10 BBS.

I really like the idea of the band razor, however, i do believe i am in the minority.
A wonderful face lather from the MWF and Alpha, plenty slickness for the shave.
I completed an easy 2 pass shave WTG then ATG for a very comfortable DFS+ finish, the razor itself, for me at least, is mild and pretty efficient.
Finishing with a nice post shave to set me up for the Bank Holiday.

PS :- Has any of the 3D razor inventors ever though of coming up with a magazine that could take an AC or Injector blade to fit the Band razor handle?

Cool shave. I shaved with the Gillette Techmatic when it was new on the scene. I didn't like it then, but I have one now that I really like. I haven't used the Schick version though. Razor Emporium had a video in the Techmatic recently. Check it out:
