Convenience me
#1
Ok guys, I'm going to go down this road now.
I really want to like Schick, I want a good shave from them, I want to join the fan club, but I just can't.

Last 3 razors I've had, I haven't gotten good shaves from them, even after doing the 30 day challenge using them. It just never happened.
I went slow, made sure I did it right, and just can't seem to make it work.

I'm ready to admit it may just be me. But it might have also been the razor, I don't know.
Y'all convince me to buy one and try it again.

Which Schick injectors have you used? I get great shaves from the two I have.

I'm with you--I have my father's and grand father's Schicks. Both are in good serviceable condition, but I just do not like to shave with them, they are just family keepsakes.

I will do better then that. let's open up The Loaners here and I will get you several to try. I know you have no idea which ones you tried before. I will put together a care package and send it that way here in a few days.
Happy shaves to ya!

What do you plan on sending him? I am not sure why he has not gotten good shaves from Schick. I get great shaves from them. A two pass shave does the job. I would like to see his mind change on Schick.

I am going to hook him up with a nice E-2 and G-1 and L and I think a G-8. I think I have a spare N too.

I think I have a E-3. I will have to post pictures of it. The other one is a H-1. Which I will say both shave perfectly. I think if I get a adjustable Schick injector then I would have found the only razor I need. My favorite unmentionable is an adjustable razor. My E-3 has removed it from the favorite position but it is still a great razor. I like using the adjustable feature for shaving against the grain because I have found that even mild razors will cause razor pimples. Being able to adjust it has fixed that problem. However, my technique is improving so I might not need the adjusting ability but I like having it.

Have you heard my rant on twisting that knob? Turn it up leave it up turn it loose. I do not do against the grain. No real need and as you see it is rough. I Veddy much like your understanding of technique!!!

I have heard the rant. Maybe I wise up soon but for me changing it during my shave works better. I have shaved with out going against the grain and it feels like I did not shave. Sounds strange right? The next day I can already feel the stubble. My technique is getting better. The last shave I had was with a 1912 and I did not get any nicks or cuts. I posted that shave on my testing of how long a GEM blade can last. Today I plan on shaving with the competing unmentionable. I turned it to 9 and it seems that I get better shaves by going milder on my second pass. Just my experience.
