I am using my Schick G4 (thanks Fuzzy) this week. I've been getting some great shaves. The brush is JR#408. It is made from plywood. It was experimental. It is working out great with the two-band badger.

I think that is a G4. The G3 has a gold handle if I am thinking straight.

G3: Gold plated ( Hollow handle )
G4: Schick 66 - blue handle, chrome textured head
G3: Gold plated handle (metal shell)
Case: brown clam shell gold trim.
G4: Schick 66 - blue handle, chrome head
Package: fitted cardboard box.
It's not chrome or textured, I don't know what that is.

Perhaps?

G1: molded plastic handle (seam)

various finishes
Plastic molded
various colours
Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

Well, it is a G for sure. I do have a Schick 66 with the blue handle and textured chrome head, too.

I read somewhere those gold head models were military models. I could be wrong about that.
