SOTD - November 2021
Saturday November 20, 2021
Razor: Schick Type F Injector
Blade: sChick
Brush: Trotter Handcraft Vein Quartz/26mm Boti Horse
Soap: Signature Soaps Hibernia
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Proraso Green Splash
Fragrance: Parfums de Marly Herod
Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,109

So the Hibernia soap is a great Citrus scent that performs amazingly and the this Trotter Handcraft brush is a REAL trotter as I installed a horse hair knot. It felt soft to the face dry. No break in, just a 5 minute water soak and started lathering off the tub. Saw a couple hairs lost in the tub and 2 more on the face when lathering. Maybe a couple more in the sink were spotted so reasonable for a new brush. When cleaning it up, towel strop and drying the handle, no more shedding was seen. Have high hopes for this Boti 26mm Horse knot. It was a tad scritchy but not bad and assuming it will soften with use like a Boar. Smooth, refreshed and smelling great with the Herod EDP. Bring on the coffee and Carrot Cake. Have a Stellar Day Folks !

Saturday's Shave
[Image: zcws.jpg]

Cold Water Rinse
3P Shave Soap
Semogue 1305 Boar
Wabbit 3D Injector
Personna Injector Blade
CWR
Lustray Spice After Shave

Day 20 of 3D Printed Razor Month

The 3P Shave Soap lathered well with the Semogue 1305 Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Wabbit 3D Injector Razor with a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed..

That brush and razor look phenomenal together. Of course that's not hard to accomplish with a razor like the Schick F.

I picked the Schick C1 for my shave today. I wanted to use the Zenith Boar my wife got me for my birthday on my birthday so I shaved again today even though I don't normally shave every day. It was a very good shave. And although I don't usually take the time to do it I think I could shave every day if they all went this smoothly.

Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather
Pre: Aloe Vera Glycerin Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor: Jayaruh Birth Year Razor
Blade: Unmentionable (4th Use)
Brush: Simpson Trafalgar T2 Synthetic
Lather: Wickham Soap Co. (Classic 24), Face Lathered
Post: Generic Reformed Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Aqua Velva Musk, Nivea Sensitive Skin & Stubble Balm

A very successful two pass shave. This Wickham Soap Co. Classic 24 recently arrived from the UK and this was the first use. I'm terrible at describing scents, but the website describes it as "essence of a 50s barbers shop, Classic 24 is a fruity, leather fragrance for the modern, classic man." It is a vegan soap and it seemed to start lathering even before I put the brush in the tub...just that easy. Face lathering was a breeze and the soap's performance was great during the shave. I nearly passed on this soap, as I wanted Irish Fern, but it was out of stock. I'm glad I got it! I know Tony'schin has a number of these soaps.

Nope my skin hasn't tolerated daily shaving well. But you prove that skill counts for a large part of a successful shave.

I've been considering picking up some Noble Otter when I'm ready for more soap. Not that I need or will need any new soap for some time.
