Happy (belated) thanksgiving, I hope you all had a great weekend.
We don't have Thanksgiving here so we miss out on all that turkey. We have somehow managed import Black Friday lately and all we get for that is a lot of spam.
Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather
Pre: Aloe Vera Glycerin Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor: Schick Type J2
Blade: Personna PTFE Injector (1st Use)
Brush: Omega Pro 49 Boar
Lather: Cella, Face Lathered
Post: Generic Reformed Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s Witch Hazel, Clubman Pinaud Lime Sec EDC, Nivea Sensitive Balm
This razor was a Black Friday antique store score. BLUF...this shave will do nothing to minimize desire for future acquisitions of injector style razors!
Great shave report. All of the schicks shave great. I find that the older models are my favorites. Glad that sorted out. The Omega 49 is a favorite knot of mine. I have two brush handles with that knot in them. They are great!

Festival of Featherweights!
Menthol Monday!
Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather
Pre: Aloe Vera Glycerin Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor: Gem Gen I Featherweight Deluxe
Blade: Gem SS PTFE (4th Use)
Brush: Vulfix 374 Super Badger
Lather: Proraso Green, Face Lathered
Post: Generic Reformed Alum Block, Thayers Unscented Witch Hazel, Jeris Osage Rub, Nivea Sensitive Cooling Balm
I interrupt my regularly scheduled programming to bring you the Festival of Featherweights! Please allow the Mardi Gras like atmosphere to wash over you!
A moderately adequate two pass shave. No real issues with the first pass, while I got a bit of irritation from the second pass. I struggled a bit in my most challenging area, that which is below the ends of the mustache and above the chin. The whiskers there are the toughest, while the skin is a bit rough. Surprisingly, ATG on my mustache went well. I think I still need to get comfortable with a proper angle. The top cap to me seems so flat. Even if I try to ride the cap, there is still the angular safety bar that doesn't seem to slide the smoothest across my skin.
No issues face lathering the Proraso soap and even thought the Vulfix brush is small, I would have had enough lather for a third pass. However, post shave I really noticed today that the soap left my skin very dry.

Tuesday November 30, 2021 Razor: Unmentionable OC Blade: Unmentionable Brush: Knothead "The Kentuckian" Soap: ETHOS/DFS Colonia AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70 AS 2: ETHOS/DFS Colonia Fragrance: Consecutive Daily Shaves - # 1,119
With the Dragonsbeard V3 on it's way to me I decided to go with an Ethos soap. The wife picked out "The Kentuckian" brush for me and so Colonia was selected for the soap because...............................it matches I used an almond size scoop to my bowl (It's VERY soft Fuzzy )and when the soap had the right water it exploded with an amazing lather that just felt so good on the face. I had way too much lather for my 3 pass shave but I prefer way more than not enough lather. After rinsing the bowl out I saw that some soap remnants were on the bottom and never even mixed as it was an excessive and unnecessary amount. I got all that lather from maybe 2/3's of the almond size scooped. I don't see how anyone wouldn't get enough lather from this soap unless their brush is eating it all. With the small amount I used I had enough lather left that I could have shaved a couple Yak's and a Sherpa. The scent was so good and still lingering from the soap and splash that I skipped picking an EDT. Have a great day Folks !

Tabac Tuesday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Tabac Shave Soap
Jayaruh 414 Silvertip
TNNSER 3D
Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade
CWR
Tabac AS
Day 30 of 3D Printed Razor Month. I end the month with one of my favorite 3DP razors, the TNNSER by twhite .
The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh 414 Silvertip Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNNSER 3DP Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
