Thank you.
The blade gets despined trimmed shorter (from cutting edge to spine) then replace the spine. It's a great little razor. You turn the little key to bring up the part that locks in behind the blade.
Thanks for the explanation! I'm sure it's worth the trouble for such a nice looking razor!!!

Absolutely. And since I average about 10 shaves per blade and have a few to rotate through I don't have to modify a blade very often. I think my favorite part of this razor is the little key. But it also does shave quite nicely too.

Lather Catcher Sunday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
Musgo Real Shave Soap
Jayaruh #423 Two-band Badger
1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher
Star Wedge
CWR
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC
The Musgo Real Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #423 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher Razor with a Star Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Citrus Musk EDC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather
Pre - Aloe Vera Glycerin Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor - Unmentionable
Blade: Unmentionable (4th & Final Use)
Brush - Omega Pro 49 Boar
Lather - Cyril R. Salter (Indian Sandalwood), Face Lathered
Post - Generic Reformed Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s, Nivea Deep A/S, Nivea Sensitive Balm
It is with apologies that I forgot to take a photo with the elephant blade bank in place of the unmentionable! Everyone will just need to use their imagination today. A very smooth, two-pass shave with the Jayaruh birth year unmentionable. I just love this razor, particularly with this being my third DE shave in a row...I'm getting my technique on track.
The Cyril R. Salter Indian Sandalwood cream is great, both in performance and in scent. I selected this scent as many reviews say it is the closest to being a correct sandalwood. The CRS creams have got to be one of the best Connaught Shaving values, at a little under $10 for 165g.
