Questioning how soft this was for a first use boar and so I went and looked up the order and found that it is a white horse hair instead of a boar.

Oh  the horror!! Look behind the brush!!

Thanks, I swear I can't win. That was sitting and drying and I was taking a pic of the brush alone since I couldn't use my pic for everywhere else. Didn't realize the unmentionable was drying there behind it........fixed. At least I keep you guys alert.......

Menthol Monday!
DEcemBoar!

Cold Water Shave w/ Hot Water Lather
Pre - Aloe Vera Glycerin Soap Face Wash, Noxzema Cream as Pre Shave
Razor - 1962 Unmentionable
Blade: Unmentionable (1st Use)
Brush - Omega 10290 Boar
Lather - Proraso Green, Face Lathered
Post - Generic Reformed Alum Block, T.N. Dickinson’s, Jeris Osage Rub, Nivea Sensitive Cooling Balm

A successful two-pass shave with what I'd term a mild DE razor. While this would likely be a fine beginner's razor, now that I'm used to using a more efficient razor I find myself applying more pressure than I should to get a close shave. More pressure will inevitably lead to irritation of some sort.

A very well hydrated was created and face lathered with the Omega 10290. This brush needs a lot more use before being considered broken in. A rather small knot, but still had more than enough lather if I had needed for a third pass. The Proraso Green was one of my first soaps purchased and while it is not sexy...it gets the job done. Unfortunately it leaves my skin feeling dried out. Nothing my post shave routine couldn't handle.

Is it weird that I want to take a bath in the Dickinson's witch hazel...do I have a problem? Big Grin

Happy Monday anyway.  Heart Better not pout, better not cry, better not...... Angel

Do you think that Jolly Old Saint Nick is a wet shaver in his off-season? If so, any ideas on his choice of hardware/software? I think it's possible he goes for a mullet/goatee combo! If he is a wet shaver, his Christmas Day mission is a great way to PIF unwanted items...just sayin'! Think about that if you get any shaving gifts from Santa! (Santa w/ Big Grin emoji here)

I've read his wife wears a Brazilian. I know, I know, don't shoot the messenger.....

So, she used a Schick F type plus an unmentionable for intial work. She bought it knew after her lather catcher broke.

Also, he uses a Micromatic "bumpless" with a  blue carbon blade.

Yes you definitely have a problem. Luckily the cure is more razors.  Big Grin
