Saturday Morning Experimental Excursion

Recently received a NOS Tuck of 10 Valet Blades, so why not use them.  A Nice Smooth shave.  Not exceptional BBS or anything but quite acceptable for a probably 70 year old blade.  Definitely would have been an original feel to the shave.

The long awaited Gem Zinn automatic shave. I loaded a Schick Proline B20, the spring has plenty of tension to hold the blade in place. Positioning the blade was a tad fiddly but not to bad. The import part is the shave quality. The shave was very efficient yet exceptionally comfortable. I'm super excited to finally have this beautiful razor in my collection.

The Archaic Alchemy Eureka Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #423 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Lather Catcher and a Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Morning Saponification Service

Fourth shave on the modified Schick Injector blade and still going strong.  The Empire will fool you while you are shaving.  It acts inefficient but upon dry down you realize it was a fantastic shave.  This mirage causes you to over-shave and you really have to fight the urge.  Funny little razor that it is.
