Boar brushes, brass razors, and hard pucks ARE traditional wet shaving. Everything else is modern day fluff for the girly men.

I can't find anything on it other than a brief entry in Wait's Compendium.    It reminds me of my Ever-Ready 1910, but it doesn't shave as smoothly.
