Schick N1
#1
Monday March 8, 2021
Razor: Schick N1 Injector
Blade: Schick Twin (5)
Brush: Turn N Shave/Fanchurian
Soap: Strop Shoppe Russian Tea
AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
AS 2: Skin Bracer
Fragrance: Nuit D'Issey Noir Argent

Back to the N1 Injector with a Twin blade in it for shave 5. I will be grabbing this one fairly often as I am curious about the Twin Blade longevity and whether it will go (comfortably) the 20+ shaves it is said to be capable of. #5 was smooth, close and comfortable. Grabbed one of my favorite scents from an old time and now gone soap maker - Russian Tea from Strop Shoppe. Frank (Dragonsbeard), I know you have a ton of things going on in that brain of yours but if you could do a great Russian Tea with STRONG scent strength you would pull me from my "NO MORE SOAPS until I use some up" position. Topped off with some smelly stuff and ready to get out the door after some coffee and forum perusing. Have a Stellar Day everyone !!

The N is not a favorite of mine. it does give the usual great Schick shave though. I use to have two of them I will have to hunt around and see if I can find one for a shave here soon.
Happy shaves to ya!

Not a favorite of mine either with the long handle. But it was designed to use the twin blades that I'm playing with. I know some put the twins in other injectors but I don't want to risk spreading the spring on one that wasn't designed for it.

I am the same way. I get a tick when I read about a twin blade forced into a G.....and have to get in to my therapist if I hear it in a E. The H1 dies really nice with a twin though.

OMG!!!

And there is me using nothing but twin blades in my Fashion Razors.

Seriously: The H1 is one of the best injectors for twin blades.

Here is the rule:

Twin blades are suitable for all Schick injectors from model H onwards, except those with a Hydromagic lever.

The Type H was not designed for twin blades, but it does just fine.

What's a good source for them. A link would be appreciated. I believe I saw someone put a twin in a Gem MMOC. I've tried an injector blade in an MMOC and it was quite nice.

I believe the cheapest way to get hold of modern Schick Twin blades is Amazon in Japan:

https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/dp/B01MSB24A5

I have never ordered directly from them, so you're on your own there.

Personally, I have plenty of vintage twin blades.
You need a lot of patience to find those for a reasonable price on eBay.
And the "reasonable price" can be more expensive than modern blades.
