I am making 2 horn handles right now and it just doesn't seem right to set a synthetic knot in a horn handle to me. So I've been trying to figure out what to use in them.
To big a brush?? I love my Maggards 28mm SHD. I did set it quite low to keep it as dense as possible though. It has pretty much the same bloom diameter as my Maggards 26mm standard density at a more standard loft.
I just set a 26mm mixed Badger Boar the other day and look forward to trying it soon.
I'm sure I've seen a picture of the Copper "Fluffy" industries handle but could you post another picture please and save me the searching.
BTW if either of you have any brushes that are truly to big for you to use let me know if you need to find them a new home.![]()
My large knot is in a ferrule for the Rubberset and you ain't getting thatI always use marine grade silicone so they're easy to change. If I pull t out, I'll let you know. Here's my Fluffy Industries brush....
Thanks for posting the pictures and I'm super jealous of that Unmentionable razor. You might want to edit that particular picture.
That's the brush I was thinking you were referring to but wanted to be sure. I will definitely have to make one like that sometime.
