Monday SOTD
Tried out a couple of new toys today. A Type E injector and an MMOC. Gotta say both very nice and a step up on the efficiency scale in the SE world for me.
Actually swapped out the brush at the last minute for a a synthetic. I always prefer to soak my natural brushes while I shower and forgot. Even though badger doesn't take a long soak compared to boar, I opted for synthetic. Partially, because I know you have to beat the bejeezus out of this soap to get any kind of lather. It still gives a decent enough shave but for some of you that don't like the dissipating lather Williams sometimes delivers, this will make you think that is butter cream by comparison. This is bubbly, stays bubbly and you must brush over where you are about to shave and shave within about 30 seconds. The residual slickness is there, but it could lather better.
The razors were excellent. The Type E takes it up a notch from my Lady Eversharp and is as easy and effortless as any Injector shave, just closer. The MMOC left a slight bit of irritation, but I would say with more than one outing under my belt and a soap that actually sits on the face a tiny bit, it probably won't. It is more efficient than the Gem Jr.
Cold water rinse and a spritz of Witch Hazel.
