My wedge adapter didn't fit, but I put a thin AutoStrop blade under the single edge blade to hold it tightly in place and it worked great!  Thanks for the idea!

Did you despine the gem blade and use both halves of the adapter?  I sometimes get by with the spine on and just the botton half.  Depends on the razor.  Anyway, it sounds like you have it worked out.

I didn't think about that.  I just put the AutoStrop blade underneath the SE blade with the spine intact.
