The Burham blades are not the same size as GEM blades.
You can either use GEM blades with or without the spine.
Here are some measurements:
Burham blade: 38.72mm wide 18.97mm deep
GEM Blade: 38.86mm wide 19.62mm deep
GEM despined: 17.32mm deep
So you can use a normal GEM blade and it will be very aggressive or a despined one and it will be very mild.
I prefer the despined blade. A normal GEM is not comfortable.
I just had an idea:
You could put some tape on the back of a despined GEM blade to add 1.65mm or thereabouts to the depth of the blade.
I must give that a go.
