January Injector Focus Shave #6
Pre-shave: None
Lather: La Toja stick
Brush: Yaqi Timber Wolf 26mm
Razor: Parker Adjustable Injector (5, 4, 2)
Blade: Supply Black Label (1)
Aftershave: None
Post-shave: Nivea Sensitive balm
Today was injector focus shave number 6 and I used a Parker Adjustable razor. I have been enjoying this exercise and getting some great shaves, until today that is. I've had a few decent shaves with it but today wasn't one of them. I had a few nicks and some irritation, both being very conspicuous compared to my other injector shaves this month.
This was my first shave with La Toja soap and any shave stick. I can happily report that it worked very well. The fragrance is a pleasant soapy smell. I rubbed it directly on my face and then used a damp brush to lather. As I've seen in videos but not experienced myself, the lather magically sprang forth from my cheeks with a minimum of effort. So much fun!
I had a three-pass shave that ended in a few nicks and some irritation. This is definitely my least favorite injector sad to say. I'm just being honest. I'm not giving up on it so I'll try again someday and hopefully, I can get a better shave then.
Thanks for reading and happy shaves!
-Eric

Today I used a Japanese unmentionable and my 1887 Kampfe Bros Star with a wedge blade. I ended up with a very comfortable shave. Vintage Williams lathered easily with the Zenith Boar brush and Aqua Velva is always a great finishing touch.

Pre - Shower
Brush - Simpson Duke 2 Best Badger
Soap - Palmolive stick / Maca Root Superlather
Razor - ATT X1 Slant
Blade - Feather Pro Blade (10)
Post - Cold water Rinse, TC's infused Witch Hazel
Balm - Barts Balm Tester E Sweet
A/S - Hugo Boss Bottled night
Another very nice 2 pass shave, the blade is still going strong as its only had 20 passes. It will go into the next razor.
No issues with the graze today, although i did get a bit, short lived indication from the splash.
Stay safe and enjoy your day all.

Friday's Shave
Cold Water Rinse
De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap
Jayaruh #20 Silvertip Badger
Unmentionable Razor
Unmentionable SS Blade
CWR
Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne
The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #20 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Unmentionable Razor with an Unmentionable SS Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Tonight I shaved with this beautiful beast. The Henckels Rapides is a fantastic razor. I got the angle and extra light pressure nearly perfect and received a very close yet extremely comfortable shave. This Zenith Boar is an excellent affordable brush and Cella is a great reasonably priced soap. I like Cella so much I bought a Kilo a while back. I finished the shave with a splash of Lucky Tiger.
