SOTD Yesterday (7/23).  It was a first shave with my black handled E2.  Basically, I hadn't shaved since Monday, so there was quite a bit to mow down.  Included in this shave was a brand new "chick" blade along with my Omega boar (10077) and some Meissner Tremonia Dark Limes.  This particular E2 has a black handle and (of course) the characteristic movable spring and a bi-sected lather guard channel (as opposed to the fully open triangular shaped ones).

As to the shave, well it was....really, really nice! Decently efficient, but noticeably less so than my fixed-spring E3. And the E2 was much more mild in nature than the E3....I mean, it felt like shaving with a G in comparison to my E3. I got so comfortable with it that I started getting reckless with my technique, but I had to really push it to give me a single weeper (which washed away instantly with witch hazel). I also ended up with a BBS shave a not a hint of irritation. Honestly, this E2 was far more polite than my E3. It was 3-passes of shaving enjoyment and extremely smooth results.

Training Shave
Pre: Whickams pre shave soap face wash
Brush: Alpha Outlaw Titanium
Soap: GFCC Caribbean Lime
Razor: Unmentionable SE / Razorock ECO
Blade: Kai Captain Titan / Perma Sharp SE
Post shave: Cold water splash, Witch Hazel
Balm: Barts Balm Lime Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: Mäurer & Wirtz 4711 EDC

I enjoyed that!
Using about a hazelnut size piece of the GFCC cream i whipped up a Lather in the Captain choice copper bowl with the Alpha Ti that could have kept a barber shop in shaves for an hour at least, it was jumping out of the bowl. The scent is very light but the lather punches well above its price range.
2 full Training passes with the AC shod unmentionable, WTG & XTG trying some different angles/ hand holds to use resulting in a DFS finish.
The main change being i always go from ear to nose XTG, today i tried nose to ear as i was a bit wary using an SE Unmentionable going towards the nose, it seemed to work well so will try that on the next training shave. i am also more confident using my left hand with this razor.
The little ECO did a fantastic job picking up anything i missed on a buffing pass.
A nice post shave routine carrying on the Lime citrus scent, a little bit of a sting from the A/S splash which did not last long.
I am happy, smooth, feeling and smelling good.
Stay safe and Enjoy your day All.

Today was another shave with the E2. Instead of 3 solid days of growth it was only about 36 hours, and I enjoyed the shave even more than the last one! This particular E2 is nicely efficient (DFS in 2-pass plus a spot-touchup), and I threw in an extra pass today (i.e, a 3rd pass....no cleanup or touchup needed) mostly because I was just enjoying the experience so much that I didn't want to stop shaving. An easy and ridiculously-comfortable shave with DFS+ results...and not a single weeper, or irritation or post-shave sensitivity.  All the comfort and drama-free shaves of a Type G, but the increased efficiency that comes with a type E (although not quite to where my E3 is in terms of efficiency).

I also wanted to give a shout out to this soap. I like RazoRock soaps, but I rarely love them. They're a great value (IMO) for the scent and performance, but they don't typically blow me away with lather and performance. That said, the Blue Fougere came closer to exceeding the "good" status and got closer to the "great". The scent is absolutely perfect for me -- sort of a light baby powder'ish scent with a bit more complexity. I'm a fan of the baby powder type fragrances (sort of lightly floral), but if you're one of the many who isn't, this is probably not the soap for you. As to the performance, it had a nice balance between slickness (it was slick, but not overly slippery) and cushion/protection. It also didn't feel like it dried out my skin, but it's not a face nourisher either. It did wash off quickly and easily, and left a very light clean powdery scent behind.

So you know the razor (E2 with a Chick on its second shave), the soap (RR Blue Fougere, which is more like a croap), and the brush was a Yaqi 2-band badger in a "mysterious space" handle.

I remember you saying you were thinking about trying Clubman Pinaud Lilac Vegital. If you like powdery slightly floral you should definitely give it a try. If you are chosen it is a very nice after shave lotion with a powdery lightly floral scent. At least for me it is.
