SOTD - February 2024

Saturday Morning Salutations

Unmentionable first pass then the Hawk V3A finished off passes 2 & 3.  I didn't slice anything open so we have a win.  All in all a very nice, clean shave.  The little vintage badger brush performed well.
Not a lot of backbone for a knot that small but it whipped up the soap on a Face Lather.

Unmentionable - First Pass
Razorock Hawk V3A Razor
Kai Protouch MG Blade (2X)
Abbate Y La Mantia Blue Tobacco Hard Puck
No Name Brown Acrylic Badger Brush
Brut Splash On
Apex Alchemy Mix Aftershave

Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Palmolive Shaving Cream
Jayaruh #41 2-band Badger
J.A. Henckels Rapide
J.A. Henckels Wedge Blade
CWR
Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB

The Palmolive Shaving Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #41 2-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor and a J.A. Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That damn straight razor thingee confounded my sense of how to shave.  LOL  I need more patience to figure it out and yesterday was not that day.  I really just wanted to see if it would work and how good it would work with the new Personna Medical blade.  Worked pretty good - my cheeks were smooth after the first pass and the blade wasn't tuggy.

Sunday Morning Speedway

BAM - quick two pass with some Proraso cream right to the Brush.  I think this is a Surrey Brush based on how the handle resembles a few gazillion I saw on EBay.  It performed magnificently.

Schick Injector Razor (Model E ?)
Personna SS Injector Blade (2X)
Proraso Red Shave Cream
Surrey Boar Brush
Myrsol Agua di Limon Splash
Proraso Red Aftershave Mix
