I must be Wacky to use this old NOS Valet blade.  First few strokes were rough but then it knocked it down.  Three passes later and it dried down to a sweet feeling shave.  I'm not so sure we'll be using that blade again but I needed to see the feel with original equipment.

Valet Auto Strop VC2 Razor
Valet Blade (1X) Greased in Wax Paper NOS
AP ShaveCo Faux Boar 30mm Knot Brush
Strike Gold Shave Nostalgia Soap
Brut Splash-On
Nostalgia Aftershave

I don't know how good those Valet blades were when they were fresh but carbon steel blades in general don't age well.

I was surprised it shaved so well.  It was scritchy like a modern PAL Carbon but end result was a nice shave after it dried down.  I don't think I'm going for a round two.  LOL

Thanks. I'm a sucker for bronze razors.

Consecutive shave 75 with the Bunny V2.2 and 63 with the Personna 74 loaded. The second picture shows how the patina has developed on the bronze spring. The picture still doesn't quite do it justice.
